Her mother is a Welsh singer and musician, Yvonne Nicholas, and her father is a Scottish musician and composer, Alan Mcdodd. Jojo began her musical career as a backing vocalist for the Irish rock band The Paper Kites in 2011 when she was just 16 years old. Since then, she has released two EPs – Coastlines (2013) and Now We’re Out of Time (2015) – as well as a full-length album called Life, Loves, and All That Jazz (2016). She has performed at various festivals around Europe including Glastonbury Festival, Reading & Leeds Festivals, Isle of Wight Festival, T in the Park Festival and more.
