On February 14th, 2019, AWS experienced an outage for Dataproc. This impacted the ability for customers to use Dataproc for online processing and storage of data. Simple Storage Services was also impacted by this outage. Customers were unable to create or manage volumes or files within Simple Storage Services.

Dataproc is AWS’s managed data storage service that offers a flexible, pay-as-you-go option for storing data in S3.
